Rehabilitation Program Coordinator
$62,255.85 – $70,557.73 annually; $36.53 bi-weekly isolation allowance for Smithers

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure plans transportation networks, develops and implements transportation policies and administers related acts and regulations. The Rehabilitation and Maintenance Team is accountable for the highway rehabilitation program, which is focused on the preservation and renewal of highway infrastructure and the performance of BC’s highway system.

The Rehabilitation Program Coordinator provides program management coordination functions for the provincial preservation program, including supporting a variety of sub-programs and asset management functions. The Rehabilitation Program Coordinator is also directly responsible for assigned sub-programs of the larger preservation program and is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, developing and maintaining procedures and making recommendations concerning such program areas. Specifically, the Rehabilitation Program Coordinator may be expected to support the Preservation Program, the Livestock Fencing Program, the Safety Rest Area Enhancement Program, the Indigenous Community Access and Resiliency Program and the Climate Adaptation Program. The position also supports administrative functions connected with the programs and branches with relative independence.

Qualifications for this role include:

• Some post-secondary education or training, or a diploma in a field related to the program, or equivalent.
• Experience handling multiple priorities concurrently.
• Experience in working collaboratively with various stakeholders.
